Q: What do I do when I get an error message “Key Not Found”?
A: (For Windows 95/98)
Under the IsoPro Help menu, choose "Install Key Driver." Restart your computer.
(For Windows NT)
Verify that you are logged on as an Administrator! Go to the folder in which you installed IsoPro then open the “rnbo” folder. Next, open the “win_nt” folder. Run setupx86.exe, click the Functions menu, select Install Sentinel Driver. You will then need to restart your computer.
(For Windows 2000)
You will need to download the latest key drivers (available here). Unzip the file and follow the instructions for Windows NT.
Q: How do I import the drill layer correctly?
A: IsoPro reads NC Drill (Excellon). These files are often exported from your CAD package under a separate exporting function than the Gerber files. There is also a second type of file that your CAD package may export that appears to be a drill file but is actually a Gerber file masquerading as a drill file. This file type is called a Drill Template and is used by the board shop for verification. This file is characterized by the holes displaying as different geometric shapes; often a different shape for each diameter hole.
Q: Why are some of the traces smaller or missing when importing a .DXF file into Isopro?
A: Under certain circumstances IsoPro does not recognize some entity types in AutoCAD 2000 or AutoCAD R14. Save the file as an R13 DXF file from AutoCad.
Q: How do I set the solenoid correctly?
A: download...
Q: What is the correct spindle speed and feed rate for a specified tool?
A: Beginning with IsoPro version 2.0 the recommended speeds and feeds are incorporated as tool pages. To edit or view these tool pages go to
View -> Tool Table in IsoPro 2.0 or higher (ie build 82 or higher). At the bottom of the dialog you are able to create a new tool table that you may customize to your substrate material and tooling.
For QuickCam users the recommended speeds and feeds may be obtained.
